Description
A small base set on Mars, nestled in a forest. The trees strip the oxygen from the soil, leaving the raw iron behind in their trunks.
This was a lighting exercise. The tree texture is a photo of actual bark, mirrored so it would tile better. Everything else was generated by hand, before 3D Studio max came with prebuilt Foliage.
